BEING COMMITTED TO CHURCH
Why is it important to be connected and committed to a church on a regular basis?
_____
This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.
_____
Going to church builds spiritual, communal, and personal growth by providing a place for worship, community fellowship, teaching, and serving. This can lead to a stronger sense of purpose in life, connection with God and other believers, and a positive emotional well-being. And the benefits don't stop there! Oh my God, taste and see that he's that good. Here's a few things his goodness brings.
Spiritual Discipline: This happens by participating in communal worship through singing, praying, and receiving sacraments like the Lord's Supper, and helping others to connect with God and feel His presence.
Deeper Faith: Through teachings and sermons, we build a closer relationship with Christ. And a great intimacy with the one who lloves you the most.
Truth and Perspective: Regular attendance helps with discerning spiritual truth from worldly lies and a new perspective on life.
Fellowship: Like minded believers offer mutual encouragement, support, and companionship through life's ups and downs.
Service to Others: Opportunities to serve the community and others by volunteering makes a positive difference in the world.
Mental and Emotional: Attending church improves happiness and overall well-being, and will keep our heads up when everything around us seems to be falling down.
Stronger Relationships: We learn to nurture great relationships with spouses, children and others. It allow us to recognize good and healthy relationships; what is real and what is not.
Moral Foundation: Attending church on a regular basis also instills principles that guide families in a Godly fashion, and keeps us grounded in llove with the right perspective; keeping God first in everything (GOD IS THE HEAD, JESUS IS FOUNDATION). Brings us to this point Accountability.
Accountability: Last but not least, being accountable to God and the people of God brings clarity and stability in your life, showing your commitment and consistency. It's a tool for one not to lose their faith walk with God when tribulation comes against them. Someone needs to see that and know how they can achieve the same walk of faith (AND THAT'S SOMETHING WE NEED TO DO TOGETHER).
Being connected and consistence with your ministry and fellowship within the body of Christ is like a husband and wife in a marriage covenant, you can always depend one another in a time of crisis.
_____
Ephesians 5:22-23
Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
_____
The Apostle Paul gives an analogy of marriage and the commitment in a marriage, for Christ is the Groom and we are His Bride. And the reason for this is because Christ is entering into a marriage covenant with the Church.
This is what it should be like when it comes to us being involved, connected, and committed to our own church and each other. If there's no commitment, there is no marriage! If the man/woman says to their soon-to-be spouse, "I'm letting you know now, I probably won't be around a lot when we get married because I have other things to tend t", to all of our belief there probably won't be a marriage taking place. And God would not be pleased with that decision. It will eventually die and fall apart.
This is the same thing that happens when we are not committed, or consistently connected to our church on a regular basis. No Commitment, No Relationship, No Involvement no nothing. And for whatever reason we feel we don't need to be apart, we will eventually fall apart and die (SPIRITUALLY) as well.
God, said it in the book of Genesis 2:18, And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone;(God didn't expect us to walk this journey alone).
If you didn't know, you should know now. God wants us to commit and come together on a regular basis. It is important for us to attend church and be apart of a ministry. It will keep us on the right path and see us through the rough patches in our lives. God's word doesn't present attendance as an obligation, but it strongly encourages us to.
It's a means for believers to worship together, grow spiritually, and encourage one another in the faith. Our church provides us with the place to do this, functioning as the body of Christ, inviting God's presence when we gather together in His name.
It's a corporate thing, y'all. The late, late, late Eliza Hewitt, wrote it like this: "When we all get to heaven..." That let's me know that we all going to be there together when that day comes.
God encourages us to be committed and involved in our churches, ya'll period.... It's not a rule or obligation, just as I stated before, but it's an encouragement to keep us rooted and grounded in the Lord by gathering ourselves with each other and be involved.
We should be apart of worship (experiencing God in songs and praise); connected (around other Christian believers, not alone); serving (using our gifts and talents to help others in the ministry); and giving (TITHES & OFFERIGS TO HELP BUILD OUR CHURCH AND THE COMMUNITY).
Going to church on regular basis and being consistent will keep you joyful, refreshed in the things God has for you, and encourage you to be faithful; staying on the right path to a blissful lifestyle in Christ (JUST LIKE WHEN YOU ENTER A MARRIAGE)"A Team at work, makes a Dream work when you're connected, committed and consistent".
When we come together all on one accord, with one mind, one heart, seeking God together believing for the same things, we can cause greatness to take place in our lives and others too. Jesus said in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. "He didn't say where there is one, he said more than one, so let us all come together"!.

Psalm 122:1-2 (MSG)
When they said, “Let’s go to the house of God,” my heart leaped for joy. And now we’re here, O Jerusalem, inside Jerusalem’s walls!
